Tatiana Aldrich, WGSN Client and Trend Consultant, shared the key trends for the Spring/Summer 2026 season in both women's and men's fashion during her seminars at IFCO. Bold color palettes, nature-inspired themes and functionality stood out as defining elements of the season.

The Spring/Summer 2026 season merges nature-inspired trends with modern aesthetics. Centered around the theme Replenish, this season emphasizes “renewal” and introduces a style philosophy in harmony with nature. With a strong focus on functionality, the theme highlights the use of natural materials.
Rooted, a sub-theme, celebrates organic textures and the beauty in imperfections. Afterlight channels the mysterious energy of nightlife. Feel Good Outdoors brings open-air, nature-connected experiences into fashion, while Rustic Minimal blends prehistoric and ancient aesthetics with contemporary design, creating a graceful bridge between past and present.
Timeless Classics with Colorful Twists
Another striking theme is Extra Ordinary, which emphasizes high design and functionality with biodegradable materials and dynamic color palettes. This season’s micro trends reflect the evolving dynamics of fashion.
Enriched Classic reinterprets timeless pieces with modern details, creating a style that’s inspired by the past but rooted in the now. Industrial Futurism rejects perfection in favor of raw textures and the aesthetics of flaws.
Nu Normcore redefines comfort and layered dressing through a minimalist yet sophisticated lens. Playful Resort speaks to those who seek joy in vibrant colors and whimsical details, while Jewellerification adds a chic edge to everyday pieces with jewel-like touches, supporting upcycling and reuse in a stylish way.
From Retro to Future: Playful Yet Sophisticated Fashion
The Playful Paradox theme stands out with its blend of simple forms and sophisticated details. Featuring Western influences paired with bold color contrasts and earthy tones, this trend offers a look that’s both relaxed and statement-making.
Its sub-themes Nu Country and Retro Replay highlight retro-sporty elements and sustainable materials, merging nostalgia with eco-conscious approaches.
Drawing inspiration from nature, history, and modern life, this trend champions a playful yet refined fashion language.
Another notable theme is Nu Romantic, which interprets romanticism as a new subculture through layered silhouettes, dramatic forms, drapes and corsets.
Alt Sensuality, inspired by the nightlife of the 1920s, offers a dark and sophisticated atmosphere, while High Octane Glamour redefines the extravagant aesthetic of the 2000s with a modern approach.
