NEW EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES FOR TÜRKİYE'S READY-TO-WEAR INDUSTRY WITH IFCO

As part of the IFCO Fair organized by İHKİB, the Procurement Delegation Program focused on distant and target markets brought together 34 invited buyers from 13 different countries with participating Turkish companies in Istanbul. With more than 500 B2B meetings, the Turkish ready-to-wear industry opened new doors for export collaborations. In the upcoming edition, IFCO continues its efforts to connect buyers from over 100 countries with Turkish manufacturers to foster new commercial partnerships.


Organized by the Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB), the Buying Mission for Distant and Target Countries took place from February 2–6 at the WOW Convention Center in Istanbul.

As part of the event, 34 buyer companies and 52 representatives from 13 countries came together with Turkish apparel brands. A total of 85 Turkish companies, offering products in womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, underwear, leather garments and denim, held over 549 B2B meetings during the event.

Participating countries included the USA, Germany, UAE, the UK, Czech Republic, France, India, Spain, Canada, Lithuania, Malaysia, Egypt, and Portugal.

Thanks to pre-event matchmaking efforts, the meetings were highly targeted and productive. Turkish participants noted that the event made a concrete contribution to their exports and expressed a strong desire for such initiatives to continue.

Through events like this, the Turkish apparel industry aims to increase its international visibility and crown its high-quality production with new business collaborations.
