The sixth Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Fashion Fair (IFCO), held at the Istanbul Fair Center from August 7-9, brought together dozens of purchasing groups as well as thousands of distinguished buyers from over 150 countries in Istanbul.
Organized by the Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters Association (İHKİB), the sixth IFCO Fair took place at the Istanbul Fair Center from August 7-9. Thousands of distinguished buyers from over 150 countries, along with dozens of purchasing groups, came to Istanbul for the IFCO Fair. The fair was held in five halls, covering a total area of 30,000 square meters, with the participation of approximately 300 companies.
Speaking at the opening of the fair, Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and İHKİB, stated that despite it being the summer season, global brands showed great interest in IFCO. Gültepe emphasized the significance of approximately 10,000 buyers from over 150 countries coming to Istanbul, continuing: “The interest from European and US brands, in particular, is no coincidence. Because we are a global player in the fashion industry and a brand-name country in production. We differentiate ourselves from our competitors with our design power, speed, quality production, and proximity to a large market like Europe. We believe that this sector will maintain its critical importance for the country's economy in the medium and long term. We are structuring all our strategies and game plans in this direction. As both IHKIB and TIM, we are guiding our companies on design, innovation, branding, and green transformation.”
“We want IFCO to be included in the list of prestigious fairs.”
IHKIB Vice President Mustafa Paşahan also emphasized that IFCO is a great success story. Paşahan, explaining that they have transformed IFCO into a brand that contributes to both the sector and Turkey, said, “We believe it is time for IFCO, which is praised by the world's most successful trade fair organizers, to be included in the scope of prestigious trade fairs.”
IFCO'S APPEAL INCREASED WITH EVENTS
Our companies participated in the Sixth IFCO from all product groups, from women's, men's and children's clothing to denim and sportswear, leather and fur garments, and footwear.
IFCO contributed to the participants introducing their own collections and designs to new locations and customers through buyers from all over the world. Fashion shows featuring special collections from participating companies provided an enjoyable experience for visitors from abroad and within the country.
The fair featured trend areas, seminars, and fashion shows that brought together design, interaction, and experience, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, smart clothing, technical textiles, and sustainability. The organized fashion shows, industry-focused seminars, the B2B area connecting international buyers with participants, and many other events enhanced IFCO's appeal.
