4 TRENDS MET ON THE THEME OF “ASCENSION SS-26”

For the sixth season of IFCO, the trend area was again designed by the Istanbul Fashion Academy (IMA). The trend area, themed "Ascension SS-26," addressed four main trends.

IMA, which has designed the trend area for the IFCO Fair for five seasons, undertook this task again in the sixth season. The trend area, themed "Ascension SS-26," explored four main trends.

While the year 2026 represents a period of purification and ascension to a higher frequency for the world, this prediction requires a more introspective perspective on a personal level. In Ascension SS26, which focuses on four fundamental trends, perspectives that remain aware of the present moment with the power of the moment, high consciousness, and that highlight cultural identities in parallel with global migrations, as well as the questioning of reality in the process of adapting to new developments and the reflection of all these details in the design language of the period, are explored. In this created trend area, designs and ideas that re-examine the communication between artificial and true reality are examined under the themes of Zen Revival, Revised Confession, Multifaceted, and Freed.

The trend area was one of the most popular areas for both domestic and international visitors throughout the fair. Foreign visitors focused most on fabrics, and were very impressed when they learned that the domestically produced fabrics, which they initially thought were imported, belonged to Turkish companies. Some fabric companies indicated their willingness to supply fabrics to the trend area. The desire of industry participants to share their products and contribute demonstrated the success of the trend area and the fair. In addition to the informed audience who follow the trend area every season, foreign press also spent a considerable amount of time there. Information about new training programs was available at the İMA stand. The color palette displayed in the area via QR code was downloaded by almost everyone visiting the area. Products and designs by İMA graduates were displayed at the theme-based stands, and many buyers, especially from Europe, expressed interest in placing orders. Products created from innovative materials and colorful, unique fabrics attracted great interest.
